The Beauty of Faded Charm

When I won Kathleen's give away at Faded Charm  I was so thrilled!!! Then late yesterday afternoon I received my package from Kathleen...

The presentation was amazing and then...

the beauty of Faded Charm....

Kathleen made this giveaway so personal it was such a blessing to me
she sent me an email letting me know that she sent out my package and it really was the bright spot of my day. We women are all so different each with our own story, schedules, and struggles that when someone takes the time to make you feel special it is a gift within itself.

Thank you so very much Kathleen and I love the "K" that you put on my journal along with the bird gift tag. I treasure it!!!!

Even the distance between us, life connects us in unexpected ways...

"Anthro" Dollar Tree Bird Prints

While at the dollar store I stumbled across these "bird print tins" they were the perfect mate for some old tin tiles that I had painted and distressed a few weeks ago. I brought them home and glued them to my tin tiles and was quite pleased with the outcome. I'm sure that you could mount them to a piece of distressed wood or even put them in a frame that was chunky chippy and shabbed out! They came out so "anthro" I love them!

My Nottinghill

I met you twenty three years ago instantly we became friends...

your blue eyes melted my heart and spoke to me

hours & hours on the phone, going to lunch every week, sharing

thoughts & dreams. Then life took us on separate paths,

my heart grew

even in the distance. Life went on, the birth of each others children

as the years passed we still remained close...

Years later our lives took turns we never expected, our hearts broken,

many tears shed

your friendship my saving grace. You became my prayer warrior,

a shoulder to lean on, best of friends, my safe port in the storm...

two more years would pass until

July 2008

I'm just a girl standing in front of a boy asking him to love her....

my fairy tale begins....

only you could mend my broken heart, wipe away my tears

and give me hope that God had a purpose for our lives, a plan that was

perfected  only in His timing....

to my husband you and me forever...
