I fell in love with this old bleached wood at a yard sale

{so in love}

I got it for free!!! So I put Mr. Dior to work and married it with two

vintage egg crates that I scored from Goodwill for 5.00

my oldest son loves to cook

so I had to have his favorite bread book

for my table

I purchased a sampler can of Charcoal

from Restoration Hardware to use

on a few accent pieces...

old cast iron urn from the Goodwill

love how it looks with the Charcoal paint

I also used it on the top of this old school desk

from the Goodwill as well

I also found some great frames ranging from

3.99 to 5.99

to frame my favorite drawings from

an old anatomy book and sea fan coral

{swoon Goodwill}

I added some dark colored old books

and other accessories

from an Estate sale inside my white hutch for

a pop of color blend...

filled the urn with my touch

of sea sponge and albalone shells

A light to my path...

Your friend is your needs answered.

these past few weeks I have learned

more about the human spirit, the gift of love

and the meaning of true friendship...

my mother's tumor has shrank to almost nothing

and the cancer did not reach her bone

Sea Fan Ideas and My Winner

Thank you to all of you lovelies who entered my giveaway

I enjoyed reading what inspires your heart...

I love the beach and decided to

play with some sea fans this weekend

and of course my friend JB weld

which I had no patience to let dry

I used various items and bonded my

sea fans to make decorative pieces...

this project I found in the August 2011

Martha Stewart Living Magazine

it was simple and easy

I placed the scraps that had broken off

on vintage frogs to use as display

I had an old plate stand that I used to

display a much larger piece...

I took old broken window and

added a sea fan to the corner

now I can add something in between

the cross bars

I hung a piece of sea fan from the wire

of this vintage chipped frame that I love

and now for the winner...

Mama drew the lovely Anne Marie

from Nada Farm

I spent hours reading post after post and truly

she is such a precious one..
